- increase energy
- enhance the functioning of all the body’s organs.
It is a therapy that works with the entire structure, physiology, mind and spirit.
It is carried out with the client lying fully clothed on a massage table.
Gentle touch and light holds are applied to different parts of the body.
This can assist the body in adjusting any imbalances there may be and can soothe pain and release both emotional and physical stress and tension.
Most people go to sleep during the treatment, as it totally relaxes your whole body.
Craniosacral therapy is suitable for adults, children and babies; and can be beneficial to you if you suffer from :

- Central Nervous System Disorders
Relaxation has long been valued for its healing and restorative effects on the body and encouraging deep states of relaxation in the body is easily facilitated by Craniosacral therapy. The main centres of the nervous system lie in the cranial and sacral regions and the gentle manipulations of CST modulate the balance between the sympathetic and parasympathetic systems, optimising the function of both. Craniosacral therapy is useful as both a primary treatment method or as part of a treatment programme combined with other traditional or complementary techniques. The vast majority of conditions are safe to be treated with craniosacral therapy.
In conclusion the aim of CST is to assist and support the body as it heals itself and to optimise its functional level.
Ear & Body Candling
Ear and body candling is not a new alternative therapy. Dating back to the year 2500B.C. there is evidence showing that people used and were familiar with the practice of ear and body candling. Ancient cultures, including the Egyptians, made reference to its use. Parchment scrolls discovered in the Orient, also have described the procedure for ear and body candling.
This ancient therapeutic art may have been developed with the domestication of the honey bee. Beeswax was and still is a key component to making the hollow cylinders used in the procedure. The principle cloth used by ancient Egyptians was line made from flax (the fibres of an annual blue flowered plant).
Today, as in times past…high quality, ear candles are handmade from organic beeswax and unbleached organic cotton cloths.
These specially fabricated candles are typically 22-30cm long. Through a process called ‘convection’ softer waxes and toxins will be drawn out of the ear, oxidized and turned into vapours during the procedure.
How does it work?
This simple and time – proven therapy can be very effective in removing old troublesome blockages from the ear canal, without the use of solutions or probes. Many people are rediscovering the value of ear and body candling to cleanse the ear canal or body.
Candling applies simple laws of science. The flame of the candle (when the candle is properly seated in the ear) creates a draw or vacuum which pulls the wax and other particles of debris out of the ear and up into the bottom of the candle.
The vacuum is caused by the warmed air from the flame and the colder existing air moving through the hollow chamber of the candle. The movement and compression between the ear canal and the canal chamber generate air flow with increasing velocity, thus producing the ‘sucking vacuum’.
As the particles are drawn from the ear and into the bottom of the candle, the air flow becomes disrupted. This is why it is important to remove the candle and ‘tap out’ the contents. Because of all the intricate crevices in the ear, unbelievable amounts of debris can accumulate.
We use Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) approved Practitioner-only candles as they are handmade locally in Melbourne and blessed before being shipped to us. They are, from our experience, the only candles that truly work. Candling is a very holistic treatment as it focusses on letting go of blockages within the body, both physically and emotionally. Commonly, candling is done on the ears to remove excess wax, but Krisanda may also suggest body candling depending on your concerns.
Candling may assist with:
- Swimming Ear
- Reoccurring infections
- Glue Ear
- Frequent Flyers
- Itchy ears Viruses
- Bacterial infections
- Detoxify the body
- Relieve stress and anxiety
- Deep sea diving
- Eliminate mucus
